A Prayer Shawl is a powerful, comforting reminder of God's love and care. It may be presented for happy occasions, such as weddings or childbirth, comfort during times of grief, or while dealing with an illness or other stressful situation. Prayer Shawls are made by members and friends of the Somerville Methodist Church. There is never a charge for one of the shawls, and each shawl is prayed for while being made and before it is presented to the recipient.
