Safe Sanctuaries is a policy of The Somerville Methodist Church that requires two adults to be in every area where a children's or youth activity is taking place. Each Sunday we have a hall monitor during the 10:55 a.m. worship service that observes the nursery and children’s church classroom.  

Volunteers at SMC are usually only asked serve once every three months.

The main goal of Safe Sanctuaries is to provide a safe environment for children and youth as they grow in faith.
